CAFF: A Continuously Growing Cultural Platform
Cambodia Asian Film Festival (CAFF), an official annual international film festival approved by the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia and registered by the Department of Cinema, is a high-standard pan-Asian platform for cross-border film and cultural exchanges. Founded in 2019, it boasts H.E. PHOEURN Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia, as the Honorary Chairperson of its Organizing Committee, with Borak Pok, Director of the Department of Cinema, serving as Honorary Advisor. In the same year, witnessed by Chinese and Cambodian state leaders, the Executive Committee Office of the Silk Road International Film Festival (Fuzhou) established a sister festival partnership with CAFF.
As a premier public film event in Asia held yearly at Phnom Penh National Theatre, CAFF presents outstanding motion pictures from Cambodia, China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and numerous other nations and regions across Southeast and South Asia. Each year, it attracts thousands of film lovers all over Asia, and stands as a landmark annual assembly and core transnational film marketplace for regional film practitioners and media professionals alike.
