The Cambodia Asian Film Festival features four distinct competition sections: the flagship“Golden Romduol Award”Main Competition, the“Asian Honor” Unit, the “RISE-UP”Unit, and Asian AI Vision Unit.
Covering feature films, pan-Asian mainstream works, short films and AI cinematic creations, the festival sets comprehensive professional awards ranging from directing, acting, cinematography to innovative AIGC creation. Rooted in Phnom Penh, it gathers filmmakers across Asia, encourages diverse storytelling, boosts cross-cultural film exchanges, and empowers both veteran talents and emerging creators to explore the infinite possibilities of Asian cinema.
Every year, the Cambodia Asian Film Festival assembles a diverse international jury panel for its competition sections. The jury roster balances distinguished local Cambodian filmmakers, cultural officials and veteran regional talents from Southeast Asia with acclaimed directors, actors, producers and global film authorities from China, Europe and other Asian territories. Each edition appoints a reputable jury president to lead deliberations, while the full panel brings cross-cultural cinematic vision, professional industry experience and deep insight into both indigenous Khmer cultural storytelling and pan-Asian film creation, ensuring fair, multi-dimensional evaluation of all submitted feature and short films.
