Mr. In Vichet, representative of local Cambodian production house Mediaload Pictures, stated: “Cambodia offers far more than shooting locations — we deliver end-to-end collaborative production capacity.”First, Cambodia boasts dual advantages of diverse shooting resources and streamlined policy support. It features an extensive array of visually distinctive backdrops, including the Angkor temple complex, tropical islands, untouched rural landscapes and modern urban cityscapes. Additionally, the government delivers streamlined filming permit procedures and full official coordination, delivering comprehensive foundational support for international film crews.

Second, Cambodia boasts a complete local production ecosystem capable of full-cycle collaborative services. Ms. Heng Srey Pich, representative of Cambodian production firm CAMPRO Film Production Co., Ltd., elaborated on the country's robust pool of professional technical crews, production equipment, post-production infrastructure and other industrial foundations. She shared case studies of past collaborations with international teams and the territory’s cost-competitive edge, proving Cambodia is not merely a premium shooting destination, but fully equipped to undertake end-to-end production for international film projects. Meanwhile, Mr. Sathya Hato, Marketing Officer of Cambodia Tourism Board, introduced premium filming locales and dedicated location scouting service programmes. The cross-government and private-sector partnership delivers one-stop supporting services to facilitate cross-border film collaborations.

This showcase marks Cambodia's formal outreach to global film industries to foster joint ventures. Earlier, the Organizing Committee of Cambodia Asian Film Festival signed a Memorandum of Understanding for strategic cooperation with Fuzhou Film Festival Co., Ltd. The partnership has advanced two-way cultural exchange and industrial synergy between Chinese and Cambodian film sectors. It further fuels Cambodia's vision of becoming a rising filmmaking heartland in Southeast Asia, and steers the regional film industry toward steady, high-quality growth.
