The 3rd Cambodia Asian Film Festival Concludes Successfully

As the last soft glow fades from the screen, the 3rd Cambodia Asian Film Festival (3rd CAFF) draws to a close amid lingering admiration and thunderous applause from the audience. Centered on Asian cinema, this grand event encompasses the “Golden Romduol” Awards Main Competition, the “Asian Honors” Unit and the “RISE-UP” Unit. It has brought cinematic narratives from all nations across mountains and oceans, broken down linguistic barriers, and penned a heartfelt footnote to the integration and co-prosperity of Asian film.

The jury of final adjudication for the 3rd Cambodia Asian Film Festival was led by veteran Chinese director Liu Miaomiao. The authoritative professional jury panel also featured renowned Macedonian producer Georgiev Atanas, distinguished Chinese director Yang Chao, Cheap Sovichea, Deputy Chief of the Film and Cultural Communication Division under the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia, and acclaimed Indian director and screenwriter Jatla Siddartha.

Over a hundred celebrity guests graced the award ceremony, including Cambodian actors Shin Yubin, Janie Shin, Diep Sela and Leak Lyna; Chinese actresses Irene Wan, Samantha Ko, Xiong Ziqi and Yi Mengling; Vietnamese directors Vo Thanh Hoa and female filmmaker Mai Thu Huyen; Malaysian director Mohamad Faisal Bin Ishak and actress Cristina Suzanne.

The award ceremony was attended by H.E. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia; H.E. Hab Touch, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia; H.E. Som Sokun, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia; H.E. Khy Sovanratana, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia; H.E. Pak Sokhom, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia; and H.E. Him Sotitya, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Ms. Hong Li, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of Cambodia Asian Film Festival, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizers, inviting all distinguished guests to share this magnificent cinematic gala.
